The NRBCE interministerial R&D program has been entrusted by the public authorities to the CEA in 2005.

The actions, conducted with numerous academic partners, mainly focus on the development of innovative technologies in the field of detection, identification, diagnosis, medical countermeasures, and decontamination in front of the agents of the NRBCE measure.

The CEA is leading this research work (TRL maturity scale from 1 to 5) with the permanent concern of finding an industrial relay at laboratory prototypes that have proven themselves and to satisfy the end users.

To date, more than seventeen projects have been transferred technologically towards French industrialists or laboratories.

The NRBCE interministerial R&D program is extended and completed through a set of collaborative actions, carried out at the national level (ANR) or European (FP7 then H2020).
